The holy grail of 1998 Japanese CD Promo!

You are looking at a complete set off all 11 cards that come out of the Japanese Promo CD, all cards are in perfect PSA 10 condition! Also included in sale is the FACTORY SEALED Promo CD itself!

What I enjoyed about collecting this set is the history behind these cards. For example the big 3 characters Charizard, Blastoise and Venusaur have the same art work on these cards as the artwork on the gameboy games red, blue & green version. Also a fun fact about these 3 cards is there is a extremely high amount of them in population in a PSA 10 and that is due to a promotion that was being ran at the time with PSA where if you pulled any of these 3 cards from the CD you would get free grading. This is the reason why these 3 cards have a population of 4-5k in a PSA 10

Some other cards have a small population of 200-300 in PSA 10 such as the Snorlax, Porygon and Arcanine.

The Pikachu from this set looks very similar to the Base Set Pikachu however it is the CD Promo Pikachu. PSA does not recognize it as the CD Promo Pikachu which is the reason why the info/title on the slab is different from the rest of the CD promo slabs but still different info/title as the Base Set Pikachu. Only 707 of this card exist in a PSA 10.

Some of the cards are very rare to find in PSA 10 such as the Mewtwo which is a population of 63 in a PSA 10 and Mew with a population of 56 in a PSA 10.

Even More difficult card to obtain is the Trainer card "Computer Error" which is only 39 population in a PSA 10. This is another card that PSA does not recognize as CD Promo card. This card was originally released in Japanese CoroCoro comics and then later re-released in the Japanese Promo CD. This is why the PSA slab info/title Identifies it as a CoroCoro card and not CD Promo.

Lastly you have the Trainer card "Energy Retrieval" which is the card that makes this set so unique because this card has a very low population of 16 in a PSA 10 which makes it a possibility of 15 other people in the world to be able to own this complete set. However none of those 15 other sets are confirmed, but one is and that is the set you are viewing right now!
